Best Buy: PSP Car CD Player

About 4 years ago I purchased a Pioneer DEH-P8000R CD player from best buy, the sales rep was annoying trying to push the 4 year PSP (Performance Service Plan), but luckily for him I was looking to replace a older pioneer cd player (it would scratch cds and finally the ribbon wire on the faceplate mount gave up) and I did like the idea if I had a problem in the next 4 years, I was covered.
Well the rubber volume buttons were worn out really bad, the display would change from normal to high contract (inverse) and then the display and buttons would just seem to crash. So I took it to best buy to use my PSP.
Searching the web I found a few anti-best buy sites, reading some of the messages on these sites really had me worring about practices, and some where just people venting anger.
I called best buy the day after the scheduled completion date, due to being busy they took my info and said they would call back in an hour. Well about 5 hours lator a got a call saying it was in, so I went to pick it up. I installed it the following day, resoldering all my connections. It works like a champ, wish it could play mp3's but I'll just have to wait for Pioneer to come out with a mp3 cd changer that supports their IP bus.
Pioneer's price on the CD player was $685, I paid $585, got a free pair of pionner 6 1/2 inch speakers ($85 store price) and a free cd storage visor ($13 store price). Best buy reports the value of the cd player at $79 today (ouch!). They did replaced the entire faceplate, according to their invoce they paid $220 for a new faceplate, I know my cost from Pioneer would be $289 for a new faceplate. So I will say the PSP worked for me!
I will say my only problems with best buy to this date is the wait in the checkout lines and you must have a lot of paitence.
